On the Surefire web site they have the G2Z and the NRA version of the G2Z
There is a $10.00 price difference. The NRA light is less $$

The NRA light appears to not come with the lanyard.

Is this the only difference ? Is this why the G2Z is an additional $10.00 ??

JUST GUESSING but since SF is a longtime NRA supporter, then the $9.01 difference (or a portion thereof) could be an incremental donation to the NRA each time another G2Z-NRA gets sold. "The Rifleman" (NRA magazine) has an ad each month for the same light (NRA version) at the higher cost (regular G2Z price) if I remember correctly...(?)

The G2Z-BK-NR does come with a Lanyard.

I thought you had to be a member of the NRA to buy one (but I could be wrong about this).

Yah, it basically appears that the NRA version is a discounted price for NRA members. If you try to place an order, it asks you for your NRA member number.
