Matix 2 Lithium Batteries ?

Why do you ask?

I just got mine ($13 from REI), and haven't used up the Duracells that came with it yet.

I would say the only reason to go lithium with the Matrix is for the extended storage time in your emegency supply kit. I guess I just said it! OK then. :)

With the lithiums you get flatter (won't dim as fast) running time. Better in cold weather, little lighter on your head. I called the factory they said AA lithiums and rechargables are ok. I tried lithiums and they don't seem any brighter. Nice light with the sale price. And very water proof.

Ah, thanks for that info. That means I should probably invest in lithiums for the Costco luxeon which is for emergencies in the car...
