I got a Surefire E2D a few months back, and it's already died after not much use (and certainly not much punishment!)

I want to take out the bulb assembly to take a look at the bulb, but I can't figure out how to get the thing out! I've unscrewed the top and have got to the back of the bulb, but it won't budge! Had a go with some plyers, but that just damaged the back of the bulb assembly.. any surefire fans out there got any ideas? :)

I wonder why would that be the case with yours? A slight tap on the bezel head or semi-firm twist to the lamp to battery contact will usually get it out. At least with mine. . .But with pliers! ? ! ? I would not recommend that.

I just tap mine on the table with the bezel up and it falls out. Take a good look in there as something must be crooked or blocking it from coming out normally.
