TiFli sales and sign up thread
The Tifli is a small, everyday wearable light loosely based on the CPF classic, the FireFli. It is painstakingly hand cut from solid titanium, and o-ring sealed. It uses a white 30 degree flood beam 5mm LED running off 4 #10 zinc-air hearing aid batteries and operates with a simple "tighten for on" interface. You can read all about the conception of the light starting on page 9 here, and an excellent review here.
It is 11/32" in diameter by app.1 1/2" long and has a hole large enough to fit a number of titanium chains, eliminating the need for a spit ring. Since these are not mass produced but instead all handmade by me there are a number of options so you can customize the light to truly make it yours.
It is available in an exposed and recessed LED version.
It is available in polished, satin or lightly beadblasted finishes
Being Titanium, I can anodize it in any color of the Ti anodizing spectrum or even multicolor
Size reference
Tail detail
Beamshot
Base price is $75 per light, in either finish and bezel option.
One solid color anodizing is an extra $10, 3 color splash is $25.
Shipping in the US is $5, Int'l is $10.
I am handmaking these, and there is already a waiting list... but turnaround time from payment is usually only a few days. If you would like to purchase one of these, please send me an email at thehomerjaysimpson @ gmail.com with what you would like and your CPF ID then I'll add you to the waiting list here. When your turn comes up I will contact you to arrange payment and start on your light once it's received.
Thanks again to applevision for getting this all started.

They're the same. In the discussion thread, some of us opted for recessed for better protection while others prefer not to. LED choice was also similarly covered in the same thread.

Re: TiFli sales and sign up thread
I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Recessed LED with a shiny polish please. Give me plenty of grooves.

I like the deeper ones like the light on the left!

I like the one with the grooves close together too.
I'll tell you what, do whatever you like!
Just let me know when you want payment, send an E-mail.
Wendy saw the first pics and said "Oh you have some lights that small, what's the big deal". Then I scrolled down to the pic of one sitting on a quarter and her mouth fell open!!!!!! Yeah

Hey guys!
I finally filled in the review with some beamshots... the beams are really beautiful on these--I have to say that I particularly love the recessed light's beam!

Re: TiFli sales and sign up thread
Out of curiosity, what's the diameter of the lanyard hole?
Sorry if this has been answered before, but I didn't see it posted anywhere.

Re: TiFli sales and sign up thread
Judgecrandall and WingnutLP-
550 paracord fits comfortably and moves smoothly once threaded through. Anything more would be too tight/ not fit. Hope this helps! Sweet little light, btw. Don't even notice it on my dogtag chain...

Chip calls it "distressed"--apparently it is bead-blasted first. I love it!

Re: TiFli sales and sign up thread
I have to ask about the big boy the others are resting on!
Is that a 10mm LED or a lens?

Oh, you noticed that...
Originally it was going to be a "true" giant TiFli with a 10mm LED and 3 button batteries but after some scathing looks and a "Why bother?" from the wife it wound up with a mini-Flupic, a Sundrop 083 Nichia and a 10180 rechargeable behind a small glass aspheric to focus the beam just a tad.
And it totally looks like a giant TiFli! But seriously guys, chances are high that it will remain a one-off, I wouldn't even know where to price this one. Remounting those Sundrop LEDs on something small enough to fit in this is a royal PITA (this one is on a solid brass slug).
I'll get some dedicated pics of it sometime soon.

Are these batteries prone to leakage like Alkaline batteries?
