how to insert icons

I am wondering how to insert icons such as smile or santa?
I want to insert it within the messang text as most people did instead on the title.

I think this is how you do it:

Select "User CP" at the top of the page to get the control panel.

In the left menu under Settings and Options select "Edit Options".

Scroll to the bottom of the page. Under "Message Editing Interface"
select "Enhanced Interface - Full WSIWYG"

That should display all the smilies when you create a message.

Or, you can type them in as you go (type without the spaces after/before the colons):

: santa :
: )
: party :
: twothumbs (yup, only one set of colons)
: nana :

etc. You kinda learn them as you go...

Edit - Cool! I always just right clicked on the icons and cut and pasted the location using the img tags. The colon method (that sounds very dirty) is much quicker, esp since I only ever use like three or four of them.
