Default Map light

Folks:

Please suggest an appropriate maplight for the car -- either incand or LED.

Thanks,
Tony

I find that a stock Mini-Mag, with a low level perhaps a nite-ize LED upgrade, make great map lights. The batteries will last for a while so you wont have to worry about it, and it will eb there when you need it. Also they give off a good amount of light to read the map, but not too much that will blind you.

Photon Freedom, white.

It adjusts from very low to . . . not low. You won't bug the driver on low, you can still make out all the colors on the map, and you can hold it in your teeth if you need to.

Thank you, both. I think I'm opting for the Photon.

I've retroed some "eyeball" maplights in my '02 Tahoe. I used Lux 1's with L2 optics, and an nflex UIF from taskled.com. They are great !! I will post pics.
