Default What about automotive led sidemarkers?

I usually swing by the auto section of walmart and look at the led automotive parts they have and other auto stores. More and more they have a wider selection of sidemarkers, trailer lights and tuner stuff like illuminated windshield washer jets, valve stem caps, antenna mounts and other crap for the interior like shift knobs, etc.

So far Ive read here about buying the bulbs or mounting red stars for making third brake lights and one thing a license plate light.

I have a few red and amber sealed lamps and am on the fence about mounting them to my van. Also rather to leave them wired to run 24/7 or with the existing parking light circuit.

Just wondering..... I had 2 red on the rear and 2 ambers on the front of my wheelchair wired up to run 24/7.

No one thought about taking some sheet metal screws and a screw gun and adding a few extra preassembled DOT approved led lamps to your car?

I bought them in 12 inch strips and siliconed them on. In theory they can come back off.

Ive decided against doing this. I drove with my lights on, just parking lights and the usual no lights during the day. TO my disappointment, people pulled out in front of me regardless.

Get one of these, try it in a turret mount: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/12854973/

Otherwise you need to do what the motorcycle people do. Just assume that you are invisible when you are in the road and you'll be fine.
