Yahoo now owns a photo-sharing site called Flickr. It seems quite good - google it and check it out.

From their help site:

"What size will my photos be after I upload? Yahoo! Photos automatically creates 480x360 pixel "screen-size" versions of your full-resolution photos when you upload them. These images are optimized for sharing and display in web browsers."

I don't know if a similar limitation exists with flickr.
