AC 120v Dual channel Luxeon I driver.. $10..

Not sure if this is of interest to anyone, but the Energizer CHDC (cheap, dumb charger) makes a great dual channel Luxeon I driver.

The output is rated at 360mA per channel with two NiMH batteries in series and turns out it can push around 300mA when driving a Luxeon LED.

If you flip the battery cover, it operates in AAA mode, which is 120mA per channel. With modification to the case, you have yourself a current regulated, dual channel Luxeon driver for $10. The only pitfall is that it is shuts off after 8 1/2 hrs by the electronic timer, although you maybe able to bypass it.
