Party Re: I'm back home.

Well, Virgo,

Please allow me the honor to welcome you back to that comfortable, friendly place you call home. Im relatively new here BUT have spent plenty of time "lurking" and getting the feel and I must say it strikes a VERY similar chord in me when you refer to this place as "home". Its an ecclectic mix, but IMHO for my tastes the best place to spend time on the net! Folks ALWAYS willing to help out and THANK GOD explain things, contribute ideas, all centered on a silly but very practical gizmo: the light! Only thing I dont get is why it isnt Lumenpowerforums instead? Everywhere i look it seems candlepower is outmoded as a standard of comparative measurement. Not to mention, with 50+ watt HIDs exceeding 5000 lumens, a candle is such a shockingly archaic (almost mideval) light source, seems silly to compare. ALthough, Lumenpowerforums does NOT have a "ring" to it, and any useful alliteration escapes me... Lumen Lobby, Candela Cafe, with goodies on sale in the Radiometric Milliwatt Minimart. I digress, but return to focus: WELCOME HOME, a lot has changed, but you are wanted here more than ever before!

Default Re: I'm back home.

Thanks! It's great to be back. It's been so long, I'm no longer familiar with many of the flashlight names I'm seeing. The last Surefire I bought was the L2 Lumamax. Apparently there are quite a few I've never heard of. Arc was still developing the LS. I've only seen pics of their new AAAs. I've never heard of what seem to be very popular lights like Fenix, as well as others. Wow lots of catching up to do! I look forward to it. Thanks for the warm welcome
