Philips Ambilight?

I got a closeup look at a Philips "AMBILIGHT" HD set today and I'm wondering what they're using for the lamps mounted in the back of the set. A close look at the translucenbt plastic lighting grille showed what appeared to be long, skinny CCFLs behind the plastic since each of the primary colors was one long, evenly lit strip of light.

Anybody get a look at the insides of one of these units? Are they CCFLs, LEDs or E.L.? I'm wondering what the lifetime of those lamps is and what their failure mode will look like in a few years.

I think they are very long CCFLs with different colored tubes next to each other.

That's what I'm worried about. Fluorescents don't age gracefully.
