Default IR for digicam, 875 or 950nm

My Cannon digital camera is sensitive (someway) to IR, so I wonder if I can use an IR gloo toob to take night pictures. If so which one is better the 875nm or 950nm ?

Any recommendations will be welcome, this is just an idea :-)

Thanks!

Luigi

Default Re: IR for digicam, 875 or 950nm

Your camera is more sensitive to 875nm IR than 950nm IR so try 875nm first.
You will need a good bit of IR light for your camera so don't be surprised if your results with a gloo tube are unimpressive. IR gloo tubes are meant to work with much more sensitive dedicated night vision devices.
