Default H3 and HID

Alright. I know I'm not misremembering. There was an HID conversion kit out there for H3 bulbs. I didn't bookmark it because none of my cars use that bulb. But now I have a spotlight that uses this bulb and would like to price the possiblity of making an HID spotlight. Has anyone seen anything on the web? I tried to search for "foglight HID conversion" but everything I find uses the D2S/D2R bulbs.

If I read the article right, then the H1 bulb that comes with some flaslights would be interchangeable.
H1 bulb has the same Focal Center Length as a 3200 lumen D2S bulb. All I would have to do is make enough clearance for the return wire and mount the ballast where the battery would be. The ballast draws about 15 amps on start up, but only draws 3.5 afterwards so my battery would last longer than it would on 55 watt bulbs. Only thing about the bulb is that there is a return wire and a slight shadow could show up on the upper half of the beam. Also, the D2S bulb is longer and requires an extra clearance of 9mm. Does anyone know of a lamp that would make a good retrofit to HID?
