looking for any infos on a lightbulb-covered VW Beetle

looking for any infos on a lightbulb-covered VW Beetle. google was no help with this. this show was featured on tv one time when i was young. maybe late 80's.

anyone remember the show or the car? the whole car was covered in white bulbs and had a generator onboard and that's all i could remember... plus a colorful neon clock in the background somewhere...

I seem to remember seeing the illuminated VW bug in one of the Men In Black vids, the lights were streaming in bands as I recall.
