Re: The Official Atwood collectors thread.
The miniSOPT has become an absolute EDC item for me. Fantastically usefull. Basically, if I am not going through a metal detector that day, it is in my pocket.

Re: The Official Atwood collectors thread.
Sheez, after seeing some of the pics/collections you guys have, my measly SS whistle, lefty PryBaby XL and Electric Blue Area 51 Keyton seem like a humble collection. Too humble to warrant a pic, so I think I'll stick my head back in the sand until I have a few more....

Re: The Official Atwood collectors thread.
I just received this as a gift from Peter. He knew that I've been looking for a original Prybaby for a year now and he said this one came from the second or third batch! I don't know what else to say but:
Thank you Peter!
I was even more lucky because he found this while he was cleaning his shop and my guess is there aren't too many in this size! Sorry for the bad photo!
It's about 4-3/4" OAL.

Thanks for the offer, cy, but I think I'll pass. I've already got more than I know what to do with.

Thanks! That is the one piece that I wanted more than anything because of the history. Now I just have to find a person willing to part with a prototype Prybaby. My understanding is that there were only 24 of them made!
Here is a picture of it:

Re: The Official Atwood collectors thread.
Great pics, powernoodle!
Good luck on finding a proto, GG. I lucked into a prototype of Benchmade's 730CFHS a few years ago, almost a year after they had gone into production for a limited run of only 500 knives. It was NIB and I got it for SRP, to boot. As daunting a task as it may seem, one may be out there waiting for you.

Thanks! The sad part is that the people who have them probably don't know what they have!

Oh, great. As if I don't collect enough things already, I stumbled onto this thread. As a result, I placed my order this morning for a SS tactical whistle and original prybaby. Thanks, guys

Re: The Official Atwood collectors thread.
I just managed to get in before the few last MiniSOPTs were snaffled.
What a perfectly cute and robust critter it is!!
And Peter was really helpful and prompt and... what more can I say? The whole experience of purchasing one of his tools gives a more valuable feel to it, and Geeeeez - that tiny edge is sharp
Thanks for this thread Powernoodle - without it I wouldn't have discovered Peter's tools, and would've had to find a probably less-purposeful reason to further deplete my wallet.
Dave.

Re: The Official Atwood collectors thread.
Clicking on this thread was a BAD idea! I already had a passing familiarity with Atwood tools from seeing them on various forums. Now, I am jonesing for one bad!
I guess now I just wait for one to become available on his site. Must... be... patient...

Re: The Official Atwood collectors thread.
Be patient and you will find some.
I started with a PryBaby now I have about 20 of them.
They are way cool!
The latest ones like the Crawdaddy and BottleBug are very innovative.
Your wallet will get some good exercise....

The Crawdaddy is the one that pushed me over the edge. I hope I can get one from the next run. The G2 Prybaby is pretty slick too... well, they're all slick.
