Default Motorcycle headlights & tail lights

I recently purchased a used Honda motorcycle, and the brightness of the factory incandescent headlight and tail lights leave much to be desired.

Anyone have recommendations on replacements (LED or halogen, xenon, etc.)? If you could point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated. Thanks!

The second step would be to take a close look at the wiring between the generator/battery and the lamp, and from the lamp to ground ofcourse. The voltage drop you most likely will find there is costing alot of light.

I have been riding bikes for the past 20 years as my only form of transport and the first thing I do when I get a new one is to upgrade the headlight. I usually take out the 55/60 watt and stick in an 80/100. Never had a problem with the extra power drain as long as the bike is over 500cc I don't usually bother with the tail light as I have not yet found a good combined LED stop/tail replacement, though I did splice in two small, red, LED 'runner' lights to the rear ends of the panniers on my latest.
