LED light for tractor?

I am new to this, so bear with me. I did a limited search, and didnt find anything on this. I want to upgrade the "headlights" on my garden tractor. It has 3 1156 bulbs in it standard. I upgraded those to I believe a 1290, not sure if thats the correct # or not, but they are about 32 watts each. It helped, but not enough. Most other options involve either halogen, which get too hot, of major modifications to the hood (where they mount). I am looking for something that will give more light, and not be any hotter than the bulbs I currently have. Will LEDs do this? Maybe Im barking up the wrong tree here, but if anyone could point me in the right direction Id appreciate it!

three 35W HID's ?

That will give you equalient light to a 300w Halogen setup, with the heat of your current setup

Maybe I should have mentioned Im trying to do this as sheaply as possible. HID is pretty expensive isnt it? Oh, and my bulbs are 1295's 37.5w each at 12v. Is there something I can make using an LED in a bulb base, or do they get to hot for something like that?
