Default CRANKING THE RUMOUR HANDLE: Beams that carely diverge
Aparently, someone at CCC was telling my landlord about some kind of new lighting technology that created beams that diverge very little.

More news to follow when hangovers subside, and landlord remembers who he was talking to, and can contact them...
