Default Gelbooks?

In stage lighting we use 'gels' which are just light filters and manufacturers (apollo, Lee, GAM, rosco) have little gel swatchbooks. Does anyone ever use these to make their own filters for their flashlights? And if yes, what are some favorite flashlight colors of yours?

Just in case someone is wondering: They are called gels because before they were made out of mylar they were literally thin sheets of a jello like material with dye in it (like 1800s).

You can also get some if you can convince them that you're opening a theater...Or just pick some up from a nearby Vincent Lighting.

I haven't tried that, but ths reminds me using gel sheets you can make really cool IR goggles that let you see in IR in bright sunlight.

I used to gel with like a Rosco 62 until I got in to LED's, sometimes 26 on the run of shows depending. I get my swatch books at LDI I am now the GM for a 2000 seat roadhouse
