Default Brinkmann LX vs. Surefire E2

Here are the good pics.

The LX is on the left and the E2 is on the right. The Surefire has a much sharper looking beam pattern. The LX is focusable, so your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the pix David. My, the E2 is quite a bit more compact than the LX. In terms of size nothing beats the E2 in a 2x123A format.

Yup, the E2 has the sharper beam pattern but the LX isn't too shabby either and I see it has a slightly larger hotspot.

I've now owned my LX for several weeks. I now go more often for nighttime walks!

I'm still very impressed. Have dropped it once on the roadway, with nothing other than a minor scratch.

Taking both my E2 and LX, the LX is brighter.

FYI Folks.

Is it just me or is the tailcap on that E2 screwed all the way in?

If it was screwed in all the way, it would be glowing like crazy! I usually do have it unscrewed a little more when I have it in my pocket, but since I was doing some beam pictures, it wasn't unscrewed as much as usual.
