Watch out, everybody! I just figured out how to post a photo [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] .

Just happened to come back and take a look again. Guess the host I was using isn't too reliable. No pic this time (can't get their site to come up either). Guess I'll have to try something else.

Ok, quoting good, IMG bad. What went wrong? Oh, I see it, extraneous whitespace in the tag. Try that again:

What the heck is going on here... I hit "IMAGE", I paste in the URL, I hit OK... the tag gets pasted in, I don't see any extraneous whitespace, I submit and...

Hey, this stinks, same result again. I even went back and edited the post, REMOVED the whitespace, and still there it is! [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img] Let me try it with a different browser (yea, that's gonna fix it).

Ya, that fixed it good, just like I thought. Maybe the server is choking on the long URL. Well, do YOU have a better idea?

Ok, I think we can conclude that it's a bug with ultimatebb, in handling the long URL. Could I do this, then?

Holy crap, it still inserted extraneous whitespace, only this time it did it in the visible part of the HREF, instead of inside the URL, so the link actually still works, but the poor fella's screen name got chopped up and he's now "gal ivanter" Not my fault, Jim.

Ok, I'm done talking to myself, I mean, er... practicing posting.

Try getting an image host that does allow linking...

White screen comes up that says "YOU ARE NOT AUTHORIZED TO VIEW THIS PAGE".
