Because it`s Geosh!tt!ies. They don`t allow you to properly use the web space they provide, because it relies on those awful Javascript-infested advert banner box things they glue to your personal pages to support the free service. So nothing hosted on your web space is accessible anywhere other than on pages you host on that space too - pages that will be interrupted by their endless commercials. The only way you can get it to work is to switch to a host that you pay for. Or use Sony`s Imagestation - which, for now at least, still lets you link to preview images and won`t cost a thing. Not full sized ones mind, but the preview size is plenty enough to get a good show on screen.
Giant images get annoying for small screen users anyways....
