Free n:vision compact fluorescent bulbs at Home Depot on April 22nd

Home Depot is giving away 1,000,000 n:vision Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs on Earth Day, which is April 22nd, to customers who visit a Home Depot store. YYMV, while supplies last.

EDIT: Popular Mechanics recently rated this bulb as the best compact fluorescent bulb in a comparison test. The quality of the light produced actually exceeded a regular incandescent soft white bulb.

Interesting study. They tested all warmer-white lamps though. I've found the N:Vision bulbs to be the best in warm white by far -- it looks closest to incandescent. However, I greatly prefer their "bright white" variety which is 3500k, especially for reading. Those are the ones in the red package. The blue package indicates their daylight (5000k) bulbs, green is soft white (2700K).
