Default A couple light questions.

Ok, I have some deep light questions for those more enlightened than myself.

Which light color would shine the furthest distance given that the light emitters are as close to the same thing as possible giving the same amount of light, light towards the red end of the spectrum or the blue end? I know that blue light takes more energy to run the same as a red light, right? Which color is actually brighter, if there is a difference? What are some useful things about blue light (like what does it do)? What would some benefits be of the blue/violet/white light of an LED, compared to a yellow/white incandescent?

Thanks for all your info.
