Default Brainstorming a project

I'm brainstorming a project to see if it would even be practical.

One aspect of the project would be to create a dummy "cartridge" (for a gun) with an LED housed in it such that the dummy round would flash brightly when the "primer" area is struck by the firing pin of a gun.

The package would have to accurately simulate the dimensions of a .40 Smith and Wesson round (for starters) with other calibers to follow if the idea works out.

I've had the idea, but have no real idea how to make it happen so what do you guys think, is it something that can be done?

Yes, it could be done, but what's the point? No one's going to see it in there flashing.

That's right, no ONE is going to see it. Computers are a different story. I'm not saying anything else until I hear back from the patent office
