Default El wire

I was looking to get some EL wire, need no more than 6 feet. What do you guys know about it?

You buy your piece of wire, hook it up to a power supply, plug it in, and off you go.

It's fun stuff but it's not all that bright under average lighting. The brightest colors tend to be blue and green.

I have some. It's fun to play with but it's not a "light source" as much as it is a toy. Tron comes to mind...
