Cool UV light and Watch Illumination??

The 2 just go together like bread and butter? What makes it work?

You need a shorter wavelenght than the glow emmitts to charge it up, so UV works good.
Another point is that you cant see the UV light directly, so the glow effect is visible even while the light is still on.
A Cree Led works the same way, the die produces UV light and charges up the glow arround it . But this is But that glow is designed to discharge faster than the one in your watch.
