Default Ott light for reading

My wife uses an Ott light, optimized for reading, and I was wondering if there was a special bulb or led that could duplicate the light output of this light.

Can't answer your Q, but as an aside, IMO, Ott Light does not stand behind their product. We've bought 3 of their lights, the last being a table mod. lamp ($260) just over a yr. ago. It never has worked, and my wife failed to return it. Last week I noticed it gathering dust, so I had an electrician look at it. The little ballast/plug was evidently bad from the factory. I called CS & explained my situation...."Sure, we'll send you one, for $40 and change." Now, you know they must have barrels of those sitting around at the shop. I had to order it, but we'll never buy another Ott Light! Just FYI.

The alternative to an Ott light is a Daylight brand. Here is a link to a dealer. I believe they can also be bought on Ebay. I do not have one, so I cannot say how good it is.
