Post number two! wow, I just spent the day reading various posts and such on and off, and boy... intimidating! I'm really just a beginner who loves flashlights... the numbers, the lingo wow! I found "The welcome mat" post though, and that seems like a good "study guide" if you will... anyways, thanks for having me! Hi CPF, New here. Just purchased my first real flashlight: Fenix LD10. Kicks my gigantic, old Mag Light. Had to wrangle my wife into the closet to show her the power vs the MagLight--now she thinks I'm strange. Never been particularly interested in flashlights before but... that's for next message.

Researching much needed lighting tools for my time on a small Island in the Philippines (I split my time between there & USA)

I've been using and living by SureFire since 2004; I always travel with them & strongly advise others to do so when traveling, especially overseas.
