Political fluorescence.
Home Depot is selling an impressive compact fluorescent for $1. The only negative is it has a sticker on it that says "brought to you by Governor bleep". I bleeped the name of the New Jersey governor in case any of you are eating dinner while reading this.
It has the TCP brand name. It's 20 watts, 75 watt incandescent equivalent. Warm white. It's the smallest one I've seen. It's about the size of a 60 watt incandescent. It comes on instantly to almost full brightness.
