Boeing 7E7 to use LED lighting
http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald...ss/7285761.htm
"In the 7E7, as passengers leave the cramped jetway and enter the airplane, they will find a cabin that appears spacious, while still maintaining some intimacy. Designers are using a mix of blue lighting, filters and sheer materials to create a sky-like effect in which passengers can't easily tell how close or far away the ceiling is. The result is that passengers' eyes are drawn upward, making the cabin feel taller, Brauer said.
Sweeping arches punctuate the interior to make spaces seem more intimate. Arrays of light-emitting diodes, or LEDs, can change in color and brightness during the flight, which Boeing says should make passengers feel more comfortable."

I suppose, but the better computer joke would be 2023
(this is a real test of your education. Why 2023?)

Re: Boeing 7E7 to use LED lighting
I work on corporate and private aircraft and they have been using led for cabin lighting for awhile.

Ahhh, I thought 2023 was a hex value... (it comes to 8227 in dec)...nope, it's a decimal value, and 2023 equals something in hex that's relevent to this discussion. I won't ruin the surprise by revealing it here. Re: Boeing 7E7 to use LED lighting
Type "2023 in hex" into Google and you get: 2 023 = 0x7E7

Re: Boeing 7E7 to use LED lighting
I've never thought i'd ever say this about an airplane but...
NICE interior!
It's starting to look more like the bridge and hallways of the Starship Enterprise. I LIKE IT! The blue hues definately look calmer than the drab yellow/white lights that they use to have.

Re: Boeing 7E7 to use LED lighting
Very nice! I like the blue of the ceilings... it seems to fool one into thinking it's like the sky. The browns of the walls emulate the feeling, warmth and solidity of wood. Very subtle and effective. I can see interior decorators having a lot of fun with LEDs.
