Is Anyone Into Lightbars ?

I have one of these : http://www.code3pse.com/productdtl.a...=19&id=182 and it is very cool. It's very bright and rotates very quickly. You can see it at least a mile away. I've been thinking about getting the http://www.code3pse.com/productdtl.a...d=11&id=66 .

I'm not sure how the laws work here in Florida through. Since it's amber, I imagine I should be okay if I ever needed to use it.

Is anyone else into lightbarrs ?

If you are using the light bar for a dance studio then you can have anyone of them. In Az the only red and blue bulbs you will see are on police/fire/ems vehicles. Amber rotators are for vehicles that work in the roadway.

Chech your Fl vehicle codes/laws/regulations to see the limitations. This could take time because the legal term for lighting equipment varies state to state.

What brands do you guys like the best ? Whelen, Code 3, Federal ?

A good lightbar is at the heart of every emergency. There's a certain sense of authority and "being all on the inside" that goes with lightbars. It's perfect for wannabees the world over.

Galls is overpriced, although they do have a very large selection of products. I personally prefer Whelen products. I have a dual dashlight (blue/blue) and 4 hideaways powered by a 90watt 6 outlet power supply. Works great, havent had a problem, and it does a great job clearing traffic. If $$ wasnt an issue Id go with an LED lightbar from 911ep. Another good site for this kind of stuff: www.strobesnmore.com Please check your local laws about running colored strobes/flashers/rotators before you install them.
