I saw on the SHOT website that it's in Vegas next year as well. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] I'm going to try to make it though.

I am moving to Orlando this year some time, so if it's there in '06, I'll be stoked.

My favorite trade show by far is IAAPA. They bounce around quite a bit too.

I went last year, and you have to see it to believe it. At the end of the day you're in a daze from seeing so many goodies.

Next year it's in Vegas again. I'm hoping it comes back to Orlando some time.

Sorry to jump into the midst of the discussion, and my apologies for what may be some very ignorant questions, but what is presented at this show... is it exclusively flashlights, or all sorts of lighting, or all sorts of gadgets, or tactical equipment, or...? Also, what does SHOT stand for?

Whew! OK, I'm back and finally caught up on this thread. If you guys were paying attention to the web cam yesterday, you saw Don and me in some compromising positions... or was that Roger? Can't keep the players straight without a program!

Man, I feel like I've been through the wringer a few times. My eyeballs are still all jittery and my feet are swollen. When do we do it again? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Met a ton of folks in the flesh who I've been CPF'ing with for years, and I managed to MISS meeting a bunch of folks as well. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] Too much to do, and not enough time!

I'll filter through my pictures and see if any of them are good enough (and at least semi-sanctioned) to show. I sure have a lot of pictures of Al's gigantic shoes! What's up with that? [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thinking.gif[/img]

But right now I need a nap for about three days...

Well, I dug up this one of a bunch of the admin staff and PK at the Surefire booth. We let Roger and KC in because they dressed up so nice. Al, of course, is kneeling.

I'm still in Vegas - some of the photos I've taken will be on PK-E soon. It's been a good show - I've just come back from helping pack up the SureFire booth. Most of the SureFires on the booth made it into the storage cases. Mostly...

I had a run-in with Goncz. He's just like he writes. It was interesting. Just being alive seems to piss him off. I regret to report that his products on his booth failed to meet the expectations his claims led me to assume.

More later when I'm not paying some insane rate per minute.

One thing to add - the CPF get together was great! Thanks to Peter & Merri of Arc and to Jeff and everybody else involved!!
