Default Re-light: solar/LED light

http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_623593.html?menu=

"The Re-light is a virtually indestructible, glowing plastic box that provides hours of illumination yet requires no mains electricity or replacement batteries...."

"A tilt switch inside means that when you turn it with the solar panel facing up, it switches off and is charging. When you turn it any other way, the light comes on."

Edit: Oops! Maybe this post belongs in LED!

Interesting idea, but the tilt switch is a problem. That means that it cannot be mounted for overhead illumination and cannot be easily transported without it running down.

It's hard for me to imagine what I would be able to use it for. It looks like it would mostly be a source of glare rather than useful light in many situations.
