Default 12 V 55/60W Light Question

Hi All,

Administrator May please move the thread to proper location.

I am in need of a *Good* Headlamp bulb for my car. I have seen a couple of bulbs in the market.. like the "Xenon" blue bulb... etc etc ...

I dont Hate Yellow (so called, not fog yellow) ..Halogen light...

What according to you is the BEST.. i mean *THE BEST* bulb replacement ?

*** I cannot afford to have an HID Replacement / Mod Kits which cost upwards of $300 ***

Looking for 55/60 Watts bulb only, Cost not above $ 60 a pair... .. White, super white (blue tint or Purple tint) are ok for me....

Any Suggestions ? Guides ?

Thanks & Regards,
ViReN

1st read through this thread and read British Auto magazine reviews of various bulbs linked to by Daniel Stern(aka Scheinwerfermann), http://www.candlepowerforums.com/ubb...;Number=520436

then go to Daniel Stern's site to peruse the bulbs you need (good info here so read the whole site).

Osram Silverstars are nice, and they put out a lot of white light. The blue tinted bulbs have the blue phosphor coating which robs some of the light output so if you are going for absolute maximum lumens, go for the clear bulbs. The Silverstar H4 dual filament 55/60, which I assume is the one you want, puts out something like 1700 lumens nominal per bulb.

Me using an Osram for things it was not intended for..
