Default Pelican light with backward LED

I was pouring over my latest version of Popular Mechanics and, on page 22, they have a story on the Pelican Recoil flashlight which has a 1 watt LED installed backwards to reduce bounce.

Anybody ever see one of these?

Do a site search on +pelican +recoil and you will get plenty of hits. Be sure to include the space between pelican and the second +

The Pelican SabreLite has this "backward" LED configuration too. Uses something called Recoil Technology. Same as the Pelican M8.

My web page about the SabreLite is right here and the M8 is right here if you're interested.

The Lightwave Infiniton C1 is another flashlight that uses this backward-firing LED technology.
My web page about the Infiniton is right here.
