Default LED desk lamps

Hi guys I know your the experts so I will get right to the point. My students and I are going to be building 7 to 10 LED desk lamps. I am making a parts list and I thought maybe you guys could help me out. Each light is going to utilize 2 Luxeon soft white LED's and it will be powered by a simple wall wort. Price is a huge concern. So what would be the best choice as far as transformers? Can I run a small one from a cell phone or do I have to go to one of the larger ones on the market? Exactly what size would be the best for this application? And what about resistors? What type of resistor would I need to use with this project. Any other helpful tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much,

You can use a Nokia/Ericcson charger to drive a Luxeon I or Luxeon III. The charger I have is rated 4.5V and 500mA. Make sure the Luxeons are heatsunk properly.
