Does anyone know where I can find a light meter? I want something simply and affordable. I don't know anything about what brands are good and what websites sell this type of stuff.
Amazon has several in the tools section. The ones in the camera section seem to be calibrated in f-stops.
I'mnot sure exactly what it's telling me, but I've hooked a small solar cell to a DMM and used it to compare relative brightness of different bulbs, etc.
I use a Wavetek Meterman LM631 light meter. It's small and discreet, reasonably accurate, measures in foot-candles and lux, and should cost under $100.
