Default Darell or Al, small turbo flare type disk?

Does anyone know the web address of the company that was at SHOT that had an item similar to Turbo Flare, but about 1/2 the size?

Yes, yes. We saw those at shot. They are very similar to the Turbo Flare, but run on either built-in li-ion rechargable from 12vdc or a much cheaper option, 123's He said they float with the 123 version. Looked pretty neat.

Who was it that collected all the brochures?! I thought it was you, Brock.

Yup, that's the one, and I think we all agreed that the 123 version was the winner. Way the heck cheaper, and if run on a R123, we still have most of the rechargeable benefits! These things are pretty nice, and seem more durable and brighter than the Turboflare... but quite a bit more money as well.

I'm pretty sure they were all 5mm.

Darell, are you sure it's brighter then the Turboflare? Judging from the pictures, I don't think it's visible from 360 degree. There's a 'dead' spot between each LED. Anyway, how many batteries do you put in the Lithium version? And what is the MSRP?

Jeez, only takes me a month to get back down here...

Yeah, I'm sure it is brighter - at least the one that I saw. And certainly more durable. It is 360 visible, and yes there are what you call "dead" spots between each LED - but that doesn't mean you can't see the thing. From any distance, there is no dead spot as far as your vision is concerned.

These things were expensive, but I can't come up with the cost now. Something like $80 for the cheapest rechargeable one? $40 for the 123 one? Not sure how many cells the CR123 unit took. My guess would be two.

I wish whoever had the brochures would pipe up!
