Default Source for glow in the dark O rings?

Does anyone know of a source for glow in the dark O rings? These would be for putting around the outside of a flashlight body to make it easier to find your flashlight in the dark. I remember someone mentioning this in a thread a while ago but I can't seem to find a source for these. I thought I found a source on ebay but I was highly disappointed in what I received.

You could apply some GID+epoxy mix. I can tell you, my GL3 looks nice with that addition.

Paint what you got with Glow in the Dark Paint. If you can get the order placed in the next 3.5 hours, you can get it at 1/2 price on the CPF deal. Instructions are in the Electroluminescent forum.

I'm with you, flashlite - I've looked for these too with no success.

Danny's glow paint is great, but I'm not sure how the o-rings would respond to the paint. I'm using the paint right now on some screws in my HDS U60, but it's pretty obvious that the screws have a substance on them. I think I'd want a cleaner look on my o-rings.

Would you paint o-rings? I might have this wrong but I thought flashlite was planning on using o-rings externally as a locator rather than a seal. Either way, painting rubber isn't the best way IMO.

GreenLed has the idea a lot of people are going with these days which is a clear epoxy (no UV filters) mixed with some colored glow powder to make a workable paste, then applied to the light anywhere (in reach of the lights' photons is an ideal spot).

If you aren't placing the epoxy near the business end of the light, a ring around the bezel is also common. When applying around the bezel or light (round surfaces in general), the epoxy tends to hold a smooth finish and flows evenly around the light (assuming you're doing a ring like an o-ring) if you keep turning the light for a minute or two til it cures slightly.

The MOST IMPORTANT thing to remember if you are applying poxy'n'powder is to make sure there is a white background to assist the glow factor. I got a french white nail polish that I have used to good effect. I recommend a white surface, definitely not liquid paper/whiteout etc!

I hope I made sense - I chopped and changed my answer a bit...

Of course, if you can have Danny's paint shipped to you, that would be an option too.
