That made the difference - the Length of the quote in the QUOTE=username tag -
by adding to the quote - IE6 locked-up on me on the very first preview -
all I did was to add:

"the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
0123456789
0123456789
0123456789
0123456789"

to the quote in the QUOTE-username tag - and IE6 locked-up on me on the first Preview.

(hence the modified NON-standard quote above, to avoid any problems)

This is a current and on-going problem with vBulletin Version 3.0.8 (CPF's new software) over at BladeForums.com for over 4 weeks now -
