Default Is electrolumescent inst for car better?

does anyone know if honda accord 05 use electrolumenescent instrument panel or LED? I saw the honda 06 model use old style version instrument panel similar to the 90s. Does this mean the honda accord 06 instrument panel is less sophisticated than 05 model?

I don't know that I'd call the one more sophisticated than the other. The EL is smoother, but the LEDs probably have a longer life expectancy, and they can run directly off DC.

Not specifically. My guess generally though for modern cars would be EL for the instrument faces, and LED's injecting light into the pointers.

The one I'm most curious about is that used by VW from the late 90s onwards - the extremely striking deep blue numerals and red pointers/switces. I'm thinking it must be EL and LED combination, but I'm not sure. Sure looks good though.
