Default My luxeon pumpkin

This year I decided that my pumpking needed a little more light. So i started looking around my parts box and found a TV1J star that I had never used. So I hooked it up to a 4.5V 500ma powersupply, and attached it to a spare piece of aluminum. I then cut a hole in the back of the pumpking put the assembly inside and held it in place with some nails, and Voila a Luxeon pumpkin.

I Imagine that this think is putting out around 45 lumens!

in the third pic you can faintly make out the projection on the wall that the pumpkin makes (its much brighter in real life). It stands out very well from the street, and after being on for an hour and a half teh emitter was barely warm.

The design on the pumpkin is meatwad from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

I have a pair of air blown inflateables that I set up.

The first is the giant eight foot tall pumpkin... it's huge!

The second is a smaller six foot pumpkin with two friendly waving white caspers on top. The big Casper's arm reaches a height of 12 feet.

This year the smoke will be red instead of green.

This is the only time of the year I actuallly get to use all my "Halloween" effect gear. I'm still working on getting the thunderclaps to work with the strobes. Oh well!
