    RARE MAGLITES

    I keep running across so many mid '80s pewter-gray Mags it'd be interesting to know what the story is. I've seen more of these than any other color but red from the time period. Also, this is a jade green, right? The package is one of the mismarked ones I gather are somewhat common.

    M6 Magnumlights are usually $200-300 USD depending on who's buying. I haven't had any luck selling mine so far. Recent eBay sales were less so I'll keep dropping the price.

    Price wasn't unfair but I didn't expect to drop hundreds on a collection and see this when I open the box. The lights were wrapped in paper but everything else was loose. The light head's OK. I'm probably going to just take the cells out and remove the corrosion to preserve the battery...

    Yeah, they have one that works with up to 9v. Two 16650s would be a good combo if I actually use this thing. Do you know if you can still get lexan lenses for these?

    Looks like it's an original 12PM with an SRTH. Switch is a 2000s era Z49. Probably should try to find an OE switch for Pebble Beach days, but I prefer clickies in use. Definitely one of the brighter incans I've tried. Gonna have to figure out the bulb situation since I don't want to risk this...

    Surefire still sends out new heads with replaceable glass lenses if your old head/lens gets damaged. It's be worth getting one and putting the original head on the shelf for show days.

    Surefire seems to support anything compatible with parts they still stock. Like they'll send you a new 6P head with a glass lens if your old plastic 6P lens melts. But less common stuff is off the radar as far as my experience. Like rechargeables.

    I don't think Pelican even makes dive lights any more. You have a collection of vintage, discontinued products. If you're worried about breaking them use something replaceable. I don't go jogging with my Pharo-Tech. I don't know Pelican specifically, but most flashlight companies in this...

    All the 10X batteries were juicy and already had corroded terminals. The worst part was most of this stuff was sent loose in a large box and the chargers got messed up, one was destroyed. Haven't heard from the OP since he shipped it.

    I have used switches if you want to buy one cheap. Keep in mind these flashlights themselves sell for $20-25 in perfect condition without battery corrosion, before you start throwing money at a damaged one.
