Ok, I've gotten my under $25 light (Romisen RC-N3 Q5) and I'm very pleased with that light, but I need more.

I'm looking for something that takes my AA Duraloops with a forward clicky tail switch. I'd like at least a Hi/Lo, but a Hi/Med/Lo would be nice as well. I don't care for SOS/Strobe though. I'd like decent runtime as well.

Does it exist?

If there is a Costco nearby, have a look for the Leatherman LGX 200 (normally comes bundled with a Leatherman Blast multi-tool) and as far as we can tell is a re-branded Fenix L1T v2.0. At the very least, you can play Fenix Lego with the LGX 200 and other Fenix lights.

The Blast and LGX 200 combo is under $50 and if you do not need the multi-tool (c'mon, who cannot use another multi-tool ;)) you can probably sell it on the MarketPlace. :)

I've been eying the LxT lights.

Is there a light with a low of under 10L, High of around 150L, and Medium somewhere in between and still stay under budget? Is Fenix my only real choice in line with budget?

I've also been looking for those, but I can't seem to find an L2T body to retain the forward clicky.

You can buy a L2D body since the L2D/L1D have the same thread on the head and tail as the L1T V2.0 and L2T V2.0. The LxT V2.0 lights all currently have forward clickies. So does the Leatherman light.

I don't know of any light in your price range with the modes you are searching for. There might be one but I haven't seen it.

That's what I wasn't sure about, thanks.

How much more would I have to spend to get what I'm looking for?

Well, the NiteCore Defender Infinity will do exactly what you want. You can set the low mode to be user defined, which can be anywhere between minimum and maximum. It also has a forward clicky.

What's the difference in an L2D and LD20? Can both be had with a Q5 emitter?

LD20 is the new version of the L2D. They are basically the same light. The LD20 added a new body style, and it tweaked the brightness levels a bit.

Yes, they both can come in Q5 bin

Interesting that the Turbo on the L2D last longer than the Turbo on the LD20.

Just wish they weren't $60.

The L2D-Q5 is $3.31 over your budget of $50. If that small amount is going to break the bank, perhaps you should not be spending money on flashlights right now.

Where at? 4sevens only has the Olive one from what I can find.

Is it really worth a bit more for the LD20?

It says Olive in the title, but the pictures are of a black one. Did Fenix ever even make an Olive L2D?

Does the LD20/L2D have a forward clicky?

The info in the titles take precidence over pictures. The one linked is olive. Did you specifically want black? .

No, the LD20/L2D comes with a reverse clicky. However, you can swap it out for a forward clicky.
