While we're talking about them, might I suggest the Jetbeam E2S? It's a slick looking stainless steel 1xAA light with only 2 levels controlled by a ring and a tailcap switch. You can attach the titanium Nitecore IFE clip to it.

If I was in the market for a 1xAA EDC, that'd be my pick right now.

You mean the E3S, right?
Great EDC light, with exactly the UI the OP is asking for.

With a little work and ingenuity, a number of clips can be made to work well (there are a couple threads on the forum.)
Personally, I prefer to deep-pocket carry mine.
