Tritium installation adhesives?

I know that people here usually use norland 61 for tritium installations and I've seen other threads that silicone epoxy works too. But in my country, norland 61 is FREAKING expensive! So much more pricey than the states and our rockettomato went missing. While silicone epoxy can be one of the alternative, I would want to find something similar to norland 61. I was wondering other Brand's UV adhesive will work? I know that norland 61 is for glass to glass bond for optics. While google searching, I found UV adhesive that will bond metal-glass , glass-glass,acrylic bonding and plastic bonding. So which one should I choose for installing tritiums on Quantum DD? I was thinking of glass to glass bond which is similar to norland 61 but installing tritiums onto quantum dd will be glass to metal bond.

Will be buying from this website so which to choose?

I have been using the stuff made for repairing chips in your windshield, works good and dries clear. The one I bought is UV cured.

What Rockettomato has gone missing? I used to buy Norland from him and didn't miss 1 package.

Now I buy norland directly from supplier. It is not cheap - 30ml approx $45 - is that comparable to Singapore prices?

Yeap! There are a lot of people who have paid rockettomato but did not receive the goods. His thread is full of people talking about opening dispute with pp. Btw the norland 61 price for 2ml syringe is about USD $50. What do you think about this price? They are official distributors of norland company.

2ml syringe $50 --?? that is very expensive. I think you are talking about the syringe delivery mechanism which is $50 (the device) and then the refils with Norland are a lot less expensive. so maybe it is a one off expense but if you use it regularly you can fill it with refills

It may be it. But even so, I will not spent that amount of money to install the tritiums onto my Quantum DD. I will just see if Rockettomato reply back, if not I will just get some silicone epoxy or other UV glass bond adhesive. Hahas or do you wanna spare me some norland 61?

Just FYI, He is back and according to his thread has fullfilled all of his back orders, I think it had something to do with being out of the country on business.. But either way he is here and in good standing.

I've got a clear microwavable 2 part epoxy intended for repairing crystal and ceramics. I've used it on porcelain with good results. It cost $7 for a big double syringe type tube. Maybe 4 oz. it cures clear and fairly hard. Even with microwaving I have not found it to change color or consistency.

I was planning to use this for my tritium installation. Is there a problem with using things like that?
