The 119 Haiku is very nice but using it in an urban setting where you get plenty of ambient lighting, I feel it could do with a little more juice. Resulting me using it in high mode most of the time.

I had my 119 Haiku's light engine removed, why is there a small o-ring inside the base of the reflector?
What is the function of that o-ring?
I do not recall seeing an 0-ring in the xpg and XML Haikus.
Received my 119 LE today and right into my Haiku it went. I forgot how lovely and pure white the beam is with this emitter. Now I am set to have either the 119 or the XP-G in either the Mule or Haiku based on needs. For now I'm rolling with the 119 in the Haiku for EDC. It's just so darn nice!

My absolutely favorite work-tint, and a close second for everything else too.Received my 119 LE today and right into my Haiku it went. Hi I have just purchased my first Haiku the High CRI. When it arrived it would not work on rechargeable batteries (AW 3.7v 750 mAh) and Don sent out an XML. This also did not work (any suggestions are welcome). But that is not my dilemma. I'm happy just to use ordinary batteries, but which head do I keep?
Can anyone suggest a choice!
My other lights are Prometheus readymade warm and a moddular slim.
I've used the 119, XP-G and XM-L engines with RCRs. Something else is going on, not the light engines. Gotta be the cell.
I personally have become quite enamored with the 119 of late. :naughty:
You have to click it fast enough, like within 0.5 secs to change mode. Kind of difficult at first but a few practices and you should have no problems at all.
What voltage does your RCR123 read on the digital multi meter?
HI. Yes I have tried it with nitecore. But made no difference Perhaps I'm one in a million!! My wife says no chance of that !Ya, have you tried it with another battery? There is only a one in a million chance that both the head that was sent to you would not work.
