Hey eala, let me know if you need me to get you any fineliners or rollerballs. i might be 10 timezones away but no problem if you need me to ship them to you. Good thing I have 3 Montblanc boutiques nearby, and these Alpha pens are fabulous. Going to compare it with my Ti-bolt when I finally get my hands on it :D

Figured it out. Called the local MontBlanc boutique in Toronto. They are shipping to me. Thanks for the offer!

Also, just got my shipping notice. YA!

Great to hear you'll be receiving your new pen soon...I had so much usage on these pens and have one each with black and blue Fineliner, and another in black Rollerball. I almost enjoyed my writing as much as in those long gone pre-digital days. :D Thanks Jason...

Woot Woot!

Hi, thanks for your order! I just wanted you to know it's been shipped, so now you can go stand by the mailbox :)

Standing by...
Luckily Jason's only 15 miles from my house, so I may see it tomorrow!

Got my Alpha Pen in Ti today. Truly awesome. I did not realize how much of a tank this light would be. In case I accidentally drop it off Everest, I will not worry about it. The ergonomics and look are amazing. Love the finish. Love the design. The brass screw is classy.

Jason, only one request... please, please, please build a Ti Beta QR with three levels to match my pen.

I bought both a fine liner double pack and a rollerball double pack in blue. Love the rollerball, hate the fineliner. My personal preference. (If anybody is interested in the fineliners, shoot me a PM).

With a nice pen, expensive refills...you'll need a good paper to write on. What is your paper choice? I use Clairfontaine and Maruman Mnemosyne, and some Conqueror papers for official documents.

Back on topic...love love love my stonewashed Alpha pens. Great balance & exquisitely finished

I added small orings to the brass screw and to the cap threads. This does two things:
1. Seals the light in case I drop it into a vat of sulphuric acid (not that unlikely actually).
2. Dampens the cap closures. Makes it feel less mechanical. Really like the feel of removing and replacing the cap now.

YMMV

Hi eala, what size o-rings did you use? I did the same thing with a couple of Hinderer Investigator pens I've got; the other benefit is that the cap is much less likely to unscrew itself in your pocket (not that this is a big problem with the Alpha pen), and I'd like to try the same.
Cheers,
Matt

Just grabbed the smallest and thinnest in my box o rings. 7.9mm in OD and 5.9mm in ID (1mm thick). Really should be a hair smaller, but they work.

Just put in for my backerkit... the site says to expect delivery in 2014.

At least it gives me something to look forward to!

Any pics of this? Seems like a good add-on.
