Well, they're gone now.

I'm a little concerned with the performance my store. Even in the first minute, people were getting the out of stock error, when there were still lights available. :(

I wouldn't question the performance of your website, I would question the performance of the customers Taco Bell connection ;)

If it was a problem with your website, all customers would have had a problem. I was able to place my order within the first minute that you updated the inventory.

Shipping was certainly easier this way. Everyone wanted a clip on their light this time, so I've got two lights to modify, but the rest are headed to the post office right now.

I would like the titanium version without the clip. Are there any other upgrades? I just signed up for your newsletter. Good luck to you!

The sapphire lens is good and popular upgrade. The titanium lights should be ready in the middle of December. Hopefully.

Thanks!

Someone told me that a sapphire lens actually reduces light output. Is this true?
That I couldn't tell you. I'm a little more concerned with durability personally. I've broken a couple glass lenses, but I have yet to break a sapphire.

Yes sapphire has 90% transmittance as opposed to 98% for UCL. To get slightly better transmittance than Sapphire and equal or better toughness you will need to go with Gorilla glass 3 or some such. Have no idea what it would take to acquire lenses in Gorilla glass though. Sapphire is especially useful for UV applications because of its wide transmittance band.

So Oklahoma (OK, OK, okluma), if you ever build a triple UV I'll take it with sapphire! Aaaaand here comes the banana :hitit:

I always was of the understanding that sapphire was more scratch resistant but not necessarily more shatter resistant than glass. I seem to recall Henry of HDS talking about that when comparing the two options for his lights. Maybe I am remembering incorrectly though.
